Description
Overview
ABICAM is a multicompartmental mass-balance modeling framework that simulates the dynamics of indoor contaminants and associated human exposure. The framework is grounded in fundamental mass-transfer theory of contaminant emission, transport, and fate, while accounting for temporal, spatial, and interindividual variability. A unique feature of ABICAM is its ability to assess the joint influence of time-dependent human activities and indoor microenvironments on cumulative (time-integrated) exposure, by leverage object-oriented programming facilities in Python (3.7).
ABICAM has the following main components:
- Contaminants
- Indoor Microenvironments
- Human Occupants
- Mass-Balance Models
- Human Activities
- Activity Schedules
- Data Inputs
- Simulations
- Exposure Histories
